Infinite possibilities

When we surrender our old life,
when we empty ourselves of desire,
when we hear only with our hearts,
a reassuring voice will whisper
"give me your hand, beloved...
I will show the way".

Trusting our instincts

There is a voice in all of us.
It is not a voice of reason or logic.
It's a voice of truth, of God, of our Soul...
If we listen to this voice,
we will fulfill our purpose in life...

Pure joy

I enjoy the gifts that life offers me...

knowing that I am worthy.

I open my arms widely...

to abundance...

allowing the blessings to flow in.

Feelings of gratitude...

fill my heart.

Being humble

Learning humility was not my easiest lesson,
but I'm so grateful for each time that I got right-sized
because pride and stubbornness is never a true friend...

The fragmented pieces...

Wholeness is not something you seek.
Beneath the fractured self is your wholeness.
When you heal your life, wholeness will emerge...

Creating big changes

Ego is strengthened by the fractured pieces of your past. If you choose to ignore the things that have happened to you, the price will be more costly than you'll ever know. You will be hostage to a way of life that will cause you suffering over and over again. I know there are lots of skeptics out there who would argue with what I am saying. I understand because I was once a skeptic too. But the truth is this: doing healing work is transforming. My life is so drastically different than when I first began this process 20 years ago. If there was a way to take a before and after photo of my insides, it would be shocking...

Wouldn't it be miraculous if we all woke up tomorrow to find that our fears, hurts, feelings of unworthiness, our trust issues, and all our anxieties were gone. This kind of wishful thinking is like waiting to win the lottery before you catch up on your bills. Reality is that in order to find a deep sense of peace and joy within yourself, you will have dedicate yourself to the process of healing...

Matters of the heart

Love can be our greatest achievement.
If you think you've already mastered it,
then ask yourself two questions:
"do I love myself ?"
"do I love all others?".

- Love comes from a heart that is free of judgment.

 - The heart resurrects only when we've let go of old hurts
and when we have found self-forgiveness.

- The heart expands when we find compassion for ourselves.

 - When we have accepted ourselves without any perimeters,
then our heart will extend itself graciously to the world...

False images

If we disown the qualities about ourselves that make us uncomfortable
such as selfishness, anger... then we become trapped between our
humanity and our judgment.

Pretending to be someone we're not so others will think we're perfect
comes with a high price tag because creating a false self means death
to the essence of who we really are...

A brighter tomorrow

Sometimes we experience changes that are radical.
When this happens, it may feel like a demolition crew
has torn down large sections of your old life,
leaving you in a state of fear and confusion.
But trust the wisdom of these experiences.
Know that something good will come from this...

From the heart...

New tees- all sizes

To be a good listener you must hear with your heart rather than
running it through the distorted filter of your mind.

Listening to God is also an art.
To hear Him, your heart must open and your mind still.

The end of suffering

A beggar had been sitting by the side of a road for over thirty years. One day a stranger walked by. "Spare some change?" mumbled the beggar, mechanically holding out his old baseball cap. "I have nothing to give you," said the stranger. Then he asked: "What's that you are sitting on?" "Nothing," replied the beggar. "Just an old box. I have been sitting on it for as long as I can remember." "Ever looked inside?" asked the stranger. "No," said the beggar. "What's the point? There's nothing in there." "Have a look inside," insisted the stranger. The beggar managed to pry open the lid. With astonishment, disbelief, and elation, he saw that the box was filled with gold.

Those who have not found their true wealth, which is the radiant joy of Being and the deep, unshakable peace that comes with it, are beggars, even if they have great material wealth. They are looking outside for scraps of pleasure or fulfillment, for validation, security, or love, while they have a treasure within that not only includes all those things but is infinitely greater than anything the world can offer.

The word enlightenment conjures up the idea of some super-human accomplishment...but it is simply your natural state... I love the Buddha's simple definition of enlightenment as "the end of suffering." There is nothing superhuman in that, is there? Of course, as a definition, it is incomplete. It only tells you what enlightenment is not: no suffering. But what's left when there is no more suffering?

A new day

If you've been hurt in the past,
you may have a protective barrier...
that keeps others from getting too close.
But don't let old heartaches shut you down.
Better to sew up these old wounds...
 than dance with old ghosts.
Be resilient; pain and loss are part of life.
Give up fear! Cross the threshold to courage.
Open your arms as wide as you can.
Love, love, love the world...
and the world will love you back.

Mindful living

"There is so much about my fate that I cannot control,

but other things do fall under the jurisdiction.

I can decide how I spend my time,

whom I interact with,

whom I share my body and life and money and energy with.

I can select what I can read and eat and study.

I can choose how I'm going to regard unfortunate circumstances...

whether I will see them as curses or opportunities.

I can choose my words and the tone of voice in which I speak...

And most of all, I can choose my thoughts...”

Your intuition

Don't seek truth from your mind.
The mind lives in a constant state of confusion.
To think clearly, your mind must be still.
In the stillness lies truth...

The search for meaning

This guy was wiggling down the pavement.

I might have interrupted his lunch hour...

The mind is always looking for something to satisfy it which one reason why we live in a world that is fast-paced and materialistic. We are seeking fulfillment in ways that aren't lasting or meaningful...

Grace and humility

No two paths are the same just as
no two leaves or flowers are exactly alike.
Don't look around to see what others are doing.
Focus only the path that is right for you
otherwise you will live a life that isn't yours...

Humility is the realization that we're no better or less
than anyone else and that it is only the ego that seeks
to feel important...

A happier life

How do you find a lasting joy?

You release everything you're holding too tightly. Your attachments are joy robbers.

You let your old self die so a new one is born. You do this by first examining yourself, and then changing old thinking and behaviors that are causing your unhappiness.

You allow life navigate you rather putting yourself in the driver's seat. Trying to control life is another joy robber...

Love and beauty

Instead of viewing the world through minds that are
clouded with judgment and opinions, we open our
hearts to new possibilities...

What blocks us from having intimate relationships with others is that we are attempting to develop these special bonds from our minds rather than our hearts. We may feel more protected when our hearts are closed, but then it forces us to rely on our mind's interpretation of things. Interpretations are often distorted and false. If we have unhealed hurts, we will hear the voices of an inner judge and a victim, making it difficult to trust anyone. It is only by healing the past that we begin to safe feel enough to open our hearts to love...

The end to suffering

Your thoughts are creating most of your pain.
You mustn't listen to these thoughts.
It's likely the stories in your mind are that of a wounded child.
The way out of suffering begins with self-awareness.
To find lasting joy, you will have to clear out all the years
of pain that you have hidden from yourself...

A wonderful world

If we stop listening to the meaningless, never-ending
monologue of crazy stories that our minds play
and start living from a richer place within ourselves,
we will begin to see that the world is filled with
peace, beauty, and infinite possibilities...

Unlimited possibilites

Our world is created from with the power of our minds.
When our minds are aligned with our hearts,
there are no limits to the joy we can create.
But if there is only mind and no heart,
there will be no lasting happiness...

Releasing ego

Self-examination is the path to freedom.
The more you uncover your true self,
the more ego will fall away...

Deep within...

“If it is bread that you seek, you will have bread.
If it is the soul you seek, you will find the soul.”
Rumi

Ever wonder about your soul;
what it means and the purpose for it?

Gary Zukav: It's the highest, most noble part of yourself...

Deepak Chopra: It's a field of infinite possibilities...

DeVon Franklin: It is the connecting line to God...

Debbie Ford: The soul is a part of us that never dies...

Marianne Williamson: It's the truth of who we are.
The light, the love which is within us...
Inside is the being that God has already created.
Some call it the Christ, the Buddha mind...
Our job is to get rid of this excess, useless fear,
thought forms of the world that hide the light of the soul.
