Letting the past go

Do not perceive your reality today...
through the lens of your past.
The past merely gave you the perfect lessons...
to bring you where you are at today.

Beginning life again

Most people live in their own personal hell, to some degree or another. The hell is called fear. Face it; most of us were afraid as children. Because we didn't know what to do with our fear, we've carried it throughout our life. Over the years, fear has bled into every thought and decision we've ever made. As a result, we have created lives that don't align with who we really are and what we truly need...

The only way out of hell is to surrender control...

You must be willing to get humble and ask for help. This will not be easy if you pride yourself on being strong, smart, and independent. But keep in mind that ego thrives on pride, and that humility moves you closer to God.

When you surrender, your old life will begin to crumble. Let it happen. It was built on fear. Build your new foundation based on faith and truth. If you do, your life will transform. Peace, freedom, love, health, and prosperity will be yours...

Being miracle-minded

The mind is very powerful.
It can be used to create miracles...
or paralyze us with stories of fear.
Which would you choose?

A personal journey

We should not only look for God outside ourselves,
but inside too...

Getting quiet

People tend to talk to God more than they listen.
If we would only open our ears to truth

it would put an end to fear, judgement, illness...
All that would be left is love...

Thriving on simplicity

A healthy, balanced life includes peace, self-acceptance, integrity, a soft, open heart, and a desire to know God on a deeply, personal level. It also includes eating simple, clean foods, and caring for our bodies by stretching, walking, and strength building...

Undoing pain and suffering

All fear, guilt, and suffering stems from forgetfulness.
You have forgotten that you are a beautiful, beloved child of God.
When you remember, you will not only live in peace and joy,
but you will be blessed with prosperity in every area of your life...

Turning fear around

Fear is ego's interpretation of reality. It stems from the thoughts of a frightened child. You begin to counteract fear by comforting the little child in you, building more faith in God, and seeking out truth rather than listening to the false stories your mind tricks you into believing...

Connected to truth

Ego's strategy is to keep you small and afraid,
but you need to see ego for what it really is.
It's a split in your mind that separates you from God.
I see it as the thoughts of a wounded child.
You can take the power away from ego...
by seeking to know only truth...

A life of peace and joy

Twenty years ago I fell into a hole so dark I thought the only way out was to end my life. The darkness was not anything externally related. Everything in my life looked great, but inwardly I was plunging head first into hell...

In the dark, I cried out to God. Shortly after, I had my first spiritual awakening. From that moment on, I turned my life over to Him. I know God let me sit in my suffering until I found the willingness to move my pride and ego out of the way so He could help me...

I was ready! And to my surprise, I discovered that I had a hunger for healing my life and helping others to heal theirs too...

My trust and devotion to God has been years in the making. He has challenged me over and over again to do things I've been deeply afraid to do, but did anyways. Each time, I grew and healed a little more, putting more distance between myself and suffering.

I also, twenty years ago, dedicated my life to paying forward what God gave me, which was hope. I've reached my hand to every woman suffering who was willing to reach back. It's joyful to help others. It's also heartbreaking when I see someone starting to shine with hope and then they become afraid to move forward, so they sabotage themselves by running back to the darkness again. I understand! There have been countless times when I knew God was handing me a lesson I needed to get, and I was afraid to look at it. But each time I have surrendered the fear rather than giving in to it. I consistently say this prayer "God, I do not know, but you do. Please show me the way"...

Releasing fear

If we are fearful, we become disconnected from God. Therefore we become disconnected from reality/truth. We are forced to live in a false world created by ego. In ego's world, there is pain, guilt, suffering, and victimization, but in God's world, there is only beauty, love, connection, and forgiveness. Which would you choose?

Saying goodbye to guilt

When you carry guilt, you'll vacillate between beating yourself up or attempting to rid yourself of it by projecting it unto others. To be free of guilt, you must see yourself in the image of a child who makes mistakes as a way to learn and grow. When your heart softens with this truth, you will undo the judgement you've been carrying...

Stepping deeper into faith

We all come to crossroads in our lives. When we reach the fork in the road, if we make the right choice, we will step deeper in our walk with God. If we choose the path of fear, we will step into self-will, and wander aimlessly...

When we step on our new path, it's important to leave all the memories that are not of love, behind. It took every experience to bring you to the fork in the road, so regret nothing and let the past be the past...

Lessons learned

Remember that every person who enters your life has come to teach you something valuable.
Relationships can get messy, and even come to an end. But regardless, be grateful for the all lessons you've been given. Never point fingers! Merely learn and grow from the experience...

What you give to the world,
the world gives back...

Living in today

Don't look back! The past is over! The only thing you should carry from the past are the cherished memories tucked in your heart. Nothing else is of value. Don't use the past to blame yourself or others. This will only cause you to suffer. Everything that has occurred in your life has been a lesson to help you get where you're at today...

Unlearning the past

To know the peace of God, you must heal all fear. To make this radical shift, you must surrender everything you think you know, for you know very little. Your thoughts are those of a frightened child. It is only in surrendering and unlearning all you have taught yourself to believe, that you begin to move towards peace...

Being dependent on others

Whatever you hold too tightly, will become a source of pain. There will be no lasting peace because you'll always fear losing what you have. You'll worry so much that it will feel normal to be afraid. You'll try to control things so you can hang unto your prize. You'll be so consumed with your prize that you'll miss out on your own life. And in the end, the only thing you'll be holding in your hands is your own fear.

All your treasures never belonged to you to begin with.

What happens to a butterfly that's held in captivity? It becomes crippled, and the essence of who the butterfly is, is lost forever. The same is true for people. We must let everyone be free to walk the path they choose. Make no one your prize. Let others be free of your wants. Your motives are selfish, though your mind has justified your actions. We each have our own wings in which to fly. And so we shall...

Step deeper into faith

When you stop viewing the world through the eyes of a child who believes in ghosts, monsters, and danger, you will see how beautiful and perfect life really is. Just as a child seeks reassurance when they're afraid of what lies in the dark, you too, must turn on the light by seeking truth when your mind plays scary stories. Truth will quiet your unfounded fears. There are no dangers. Rest assured that "all is well", no matter what your circumstances look like. Whatever is before you, is only a life lesson. Your task today is to see that everything is a lesson, and to understand that fear is not of God. At the root of fear, is merely a frightened child who still believes in monsters...

Letting go of self-will

A universal problem in this world is that
people rely on what they see with their eyes
rather than seeking meaning and truth.
Nothing is as it seems. When you live soulfully,
you will only see beauty...

You rob yourself of joy every time you listen to fear. Fear is a collection of thoughts in your mind that are false. When you buy into your thoughts rather than seeking truth, you are than tied to illusions that will cause you to suffer.

Keep in mind that everything that happens to you is merely a lesson from God. Nothing more! There is no boogie man. There is no punisher. There is no danger. That is not the world God created. He created a Kingdom for us. When you live in your mind rather than wisdom and truth, you create your own hell. The lessons that are gifted to you each day are there to help you find your way out. If God has placed a spiritual teacher in your life to help you with that, consider yourself very blessed. Without a guide, you could be lost forever...

Lasting peace

"The mind of a worldly man is like a bucket riddled with desires, distractions
and worries." - Paramhansa Yogananda

Here are some things that will diminish the quality of our lives:

Unhealthy dependencies

Old triggers

We have all experienced dashed hopes, hurts, sorrows, deep disappointments, embarrassing moments... Beginning when we were born, we began to accumulate these painful memories because we didn't have the tools to resolve our pain. The memories became lodged in our mind. They are called triggers. Then what happens is that our trigger button gets pushed every time we experience a feeling similar to something in our memory bank. This causes us to suffer. The old trigger button regarding hurt, shame, loss... gets pushed again and again. We can break this never-ending cycle of suffering by cleaning out the pile of old memories. The first step in  this process is self-honesty...

When faith is deeply rooted,
there will be an underlining sense...
 of peace and calmness...
no matter what the situation is.

Believe in infinite possibilities rather than...
letting your mind be weakened with doubt and fear.

In the flow...

Do things with passion and certainty.
When you do things wholeheartedly,
you'll not only be successful in what you do,
you will have a flow of energy running through you
 that will never empty out...

Waking up

Picture yourself as a woman...
who has broken the spell of fear.
Her inner warrior has awakened...

Breaking through denial

Intuitive insight - the ability to hear God

After years of floundering in self-will and following the direction of a mind filled with mental debris, I hit a bottom so hard it woke up my conscience. Before then, I had skillfully used justification as an excuse for my actions.

I'm grateful for the pain that humbled me that day, and for all the times since then when I've needed to find more self-honesty. Spiritual awakenings are the blessings that gift us with mental clarity and insightfulness. My prayer for many years has been "God, help me to see that which you would have me change. I am willing to let go of all behaviors that are not of You"...

Cleansing the heart

To be pure of heart, we have to throw certain behaviors into the fireWe should for strive heart, humility, honesty, appreciation, patience, tolerance, respect for ourselves and others, understanding, compassion, self-love and forgiveness, wisdom, and a conscience so loud that we can't ignore it...

The mixed-up mind

The way your mind sees the world,
isn't the truth about how the world is.
Your mind filters everything through
the things you've experienced in the past,
and things you were taught to believe.
If you were to see the world through intuition
you would know that everything is perfect
and no matter what your circumstances are,
it is for your best good...
