If love is the sweetest part of life, why would we pick and choose who we give it to or put up barriers to protect ourselves from it? The answer is that we're afraid of getting hurt. But haven't we already tasted the bitterness of hurt and survived (or thrived)? And unless we are completely numb, we will get hurt again. It's part of the journey. We can choose to let fear be our shield or generously offer love, kindness, patience... to everyone...
