Loving who you are

Most of us are flawed at the core of our belief system, otherwise we would see our "holiness". I don't mean this in a religious sense. For me, holiness means the Light that shines in everyone. Perhaps we knew at birth how beautiful and pure we really are, but society has conditioned us to believe that we must be a certain way, that we must be perfect, that who we are now is not enough. So we waste our lives striving to become something that is not real. There is nothing to strive for. We were born to shine...

Showing up for yourself

“I’m here. I love you. I don’t care if you need to stay up crying all night long,
I will stay with you. There’s nothing you can ever do to lose my love.
I will protect you until you die, and after your death I will still protect you.
I am stronger than Depression and I am braver than Loneliness..."

Lessons learned

I am still work in progress when it comes to worthiness. Something that became very clear to me in 2013 was this: I was still giving my trust to people who hadn't earned the right to have it. And not just once...this is a pattern/story I have played out through-out my life. Had I listened to my intuition instead of ignoring the red flags, I would have made better decisions. Lessons learned...

Feeling worthy of love

We may be more comfortable

with people who hurt or abandon us

because we fear love more than

we fear rejection and loss.

Be your own hero

lunch time for these guys....

Don't idolize anyone! It's ego tricking you into thinking someone is better than you, and they will be able to provide for your needs. You will only get a false sense of safety. And spend a lot of time worrying about losing what you have. Dig for your own strength. As children, we looked for heroes, but as adults, we need to be our own hero. It's okay to admire people as long as you're not trying to get something from them...something they will never be able to give you. Thinking they posses what you need is an illusion...

A Course in Miracles says " seek not outside yourself. It will fail. You will weep each time your idol falls.... There is no peace there. All your pain comes from a futile search for what you want.... It is only an illusion that there is something outside of us that will bring happiness and peace... Idols are feared and worshiped both. They are never seen as they truly are. You value an image...".

Owning our magnificance

We've been taught to believe we are less than what we truly are.
Every one of us who was born to shine brightly.
So that we may love and accept ourselves completely,
we eliminate all the ways we diminish who we are,
letting go of self-defeating behaviors like guilt and judgment.
It is only the arrogance of the wounded self that attempts to keep us small.

Worthiness

Anyone who believes in lack doesn't know they're sitting on a pot of gold.
Lack of love, health, and prosperity comes from a corrupted belief system.
Changing old beliefs will bring new results.
This may be difficult if you feel undeserving.
I would start with a simple affirmation "I am worthy".

Feeling worthy

“You are always a valuable, worthwhile human being-

not because anybody says so, not because you're successful,

not because you make a lot of money-

but because you decide to believe it and for no other reason.”

Wayne W. Dyer

Being kind to yourself

It's not unusual for me to be in my pajamas all morning. I've come to treasure this leisure time....a time to replenish...rejuvenate...focus on my needs. I do recovery work with women throughout the day so it's important for me to take care of myself first.

I love making fresh blueberry lavender pancakes...tending to my plants...curling up on the sofa with my kitty and a warm cup of coffee. I've learned to be kind to myself. I sooooo enjoy doing nothing.

I used to be the queen of multi-tasking. I prided myself on how much I could cram in a day. I look back now and see how much my self-worth was interwoven with achieving things. I didn't value myself as a person unless I was doing, giving, sacrificing...

My way of doing things has changed. I rarely multi-task. My worst crime is washing dishes while I'm on the phone, but that's about it. I even feel a bit guilty about that.

I still love giving, helping, getting things done...but I've learned not to sacrifice myself. Practicing good self-care gives me a warm sense of well-being.

FYI- I will be starting a 6 week workshop (based on the book "The Power of Now") at Mystic See in Englewood beginning March 7th. My class is designed to help women improve on the quality of their lives. If you'd like to sign-up or have any questions, call Mystic See at # 941-473-3816. Because there is limited seating, I suggest registering early...hope to see you there.

Money and worthiness

I took these photos in my backyard...I am blessed to have this as my view

Being financially responsible is part of taking care of ourselves. It builds a sense of security that
we all deserve to have.

Being financially successful is making good healthy choices about money, avoiding reckless decisions that sabotage our means to pay bills, buy food, etc. There's no security in having to live paycheck to paycheck.

The state of our economy has forced many of us to question our spending, as well as our values around it. Perhaps somewhere in the process of wanting more...we stopped appreciating what we have. And what about our children who have watched us? Will they develop an unquenchable thirst
for more?

I feel extremely passionate that every woman should have a nest egg set aside for her future, whether she's in a relationship or not. We need to protect ourselves, instead of being vulnerable to what life brings. Twelve years ago, my husband who had never been sick, died unexpectedly. Thankfully, we had prepared financially for all possibilities.

Explore your relationship with money. You may discover that fear has it's nasty tentacles wrapped your core belief about worthiness. Are you sabotaging your security? Or do you have a fear of spending money...you feel guilty when you treat yourself... you hold on to it too tightly...always worrying about having enough? Either way, become willing to change...if you don't have money in bank, make a goal to save $1,000 this year. And for those of you who do have money and are afraid to spend it, go out have some fun with it....enjoy your prosperity.

Your dreams

Hidden dreams

Are your dreams hiding in the shadows…

trembling with goose bumps of fear…

fear of failure…

fear of success…

fear of commitment?

Does your little self say “I can’t do it”?

Well...guess what powerful girl?

There is nothing you can't do...

So take my hand - come out of the dark…

open your strong arms wide..…

and shout with me to the Universe

“I CAN DO IT”

Chasing after love

Loving myself means...

I make healthy choices...

about who I give my heart to.

I am not an approval seeker.

The only approval I need...

is my own.
