Leaning into life

Imagine how much easier life would be if we didn't judge or label everything.
Whether you're aware of it or not, your mind is busy determining what's
right or wrong, what's good or bad. .

Can you trust that everything is just as it's suppose to be? Remember that our
minds are very limited so when things don't look as we think they should,
we meet them with fear and resistance. You will find more peace when you can
lean into the experience, accepting what is, trusting the wisdom of life.

Sitting on a pot of gold

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.  Marianne Williamson"

It's taken years of searching externally and internally to come to a truth that I have heard many times but could only understand to some degree, and it is this; there is nothing to seek.

After spending almost two decades as a seeker, searching for meaning, for answers beyond logic, and to know myself, I am now ending the search. Why? Because I have been sitting on the pot of gold all along.

Without a doubt, I needed to explore and experience everything before I was ready to return to where it all began. Why did it take so long to figure it out? Because I couldn't see the treasure until I did my work. Without building some self-esteem, healing my past, learning about love and forgiveness, I would have sat on the gold the rest of life and never have know it.

You too, may be sitting on your pot of gold...your life is already rich and beautiful, but if you see the world through your past, you won't be able to see it's true beauty. The world will look distorted and unsafe, causing an ache in you that will never cease until you begin your journey...

Trusting life

Things I know to be true about life:

Nothing in life happens by chance.
Life is a series of beginnings and endings.
Nothing is permanent.
If you hold the things you love too tightly,
it will become a deep source of pain.
If you aren't willing to change and grow,
life will eventually bring you to your knees in surrender.

As a bright little star fell from the sky,

a little girl ran barefoot across the earth

to catch it before it hit the ground.

The beautiful star glowed in her arms,

inviting her to bring it closer

to her little heart.

She grew to dearly love the little star,

but there came a day when she knew

she must return it to the sky.

It took great courage to say goodbye.

Nowadays when the moon is full

and stars are twinkling,

she longing looks to the sky

searching for the star

that shines the brightest,

for she knows this was once her star

and in some mysterious way,

always will be.

Riding the waves

The best relationships in our lives are the best
not because they have been the happiest ones,
they are that way because they have stayed strong
through the most tormentful of storms.”

Embracing life

There is neither happiness nor misery in the world;
there is only the comparison of one state with another,
nothing more.
He who has felt the deepest grief is best able
to experience supreme happiness.”

Reaching upward

“Walk with the dreamers, the believers, the courageous,
the cheerful, the planners, the doers,
the successful people with their heads in the clouds
and their feet on the ground.
Let their spirit ignite a fire within you to leave this world
better than when you found it...”

Living life to the fullest

“Yes: I am a dreamer.
For a dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight,
and his punishment is that he sees the dawn
before the rest of the world.”

Our life lessons

“To graduate from the "School of Life" you need to
 have met the following criteria:
found your life purpose, lived in essence, trusted life,
became awake, reprogrammed beliefs, handled anger,
forgiven everyone, loved yourself, dealt with fears,
overcome anger you had with God/you,
cleared your emotional complexes & negativity,
let go of the past...”

Nothing happens by chance

“Everything that happens to you
is a reflection of what you believe about yourself.
We cannot outperform our level of self-esteem.
We cannot draw to ourselves more
than we think we are worth.”

Living with passion and purpose

“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love.
When we are afraid, we pull back from life.
When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer
with passion, excitement, and acceptance.
We need to learn to love ourselves first,
in all our glory and our imperfections.
If we cannot love ourselves,
we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create.
Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness
and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.”

Gratitude

Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything that is beautiful;
for beauty is God's handwriting ~ a wayside sacrament.
Welcome it in every fair face, in every fair sky,
in every fair flower,
and thank God for it as a cup of blessing.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Living fully

and see how wonderful it could have been
had you not been afraid to live it."

Living from the soul

I believe we are all born with a purpose in life.
I used to think my purpose was to have a perfect life:
a perfect job, husband, children, house....,
because as a child,
I was conditioned to believe that was the goal.

I spent a lot of years buying into this belief.
I had long periods of time where...
I had everything I thought was suppose to bring happiness,
but couldn't escape the aching, empty, unfulfilled place in me...
 that longer for something more.
I had a lot of wonderful years where I should have had contentment and peace,
but I didn't.

Today I am fulfilling my purpose.
As a result, I feel a deep sense of peace and joy...
because I am connected to what feels really true for me.
I listen to my gut and follow where it leads me.
It leads me further and further away from...
the fairy tale story I once bought into.

Living in the moment

“All negativity is caused by an accumulation
of psychological time and denial of the present.
Unease, anxiety, tension, stress, worry -
all forms of fear - are caused by too much future,
and not enough presence.
Guilt, regret, resentment, grievances, sadness,
bitterness, and all forms of non-forgiveness
are caused by too much past,
and not enough presence.”

Eckhart Tolle

A life that glitters

Fabric, glitter, paint, and a little imagination...

“I want a life that sizzles and pops and makes me laugh out loud.
And I don't want to get to the end, or to tomorrow even,
and realize that my life is a collection of meetings
and pop cans and errands and receipts and dirty dishes.
I want to eat cold tangerines and sing out loud in the car
with the windows open
and wear pink shoes and stay up all night laughing
and paint my walls the exact color of the sky right now.
I want to sleep hard on clean white sheets
and throw parties and eat ripe tomatoes
and read books so good they make me jump up and down,
and I want my everyday to make God belly laugh,
glad that he gave life to someone who loves the gift.”

Learning about life

“I wanted a perfect ending.
Now I've learned,the hard way,
that some poems don't rhyme,
and some stories don't have a clear
beginning, middle, and end.
Life is about not knowing,
having to change,
taking the moment
and making the best of it...”
